Our ecological commitments at the campsite near the Parc naturel régional des Volcans d’Auvergne
The Sérendipité campsite in the Cantal region of France is committed to an ecological approach, not to create hype but out of conviction.
Here are our main commitments:
- Eco-certified cleaning products in reusable bottles.
- New rentals made in France, using wood from eco-managed forests: an ethical alternative to mobile homes.
- Waste management awareness: composting, selective sorting and no use of disposable linen.
- Sound energy management (water and electricity): water-saving mixer taps, low-energy light bulbs and awareness of best practices.
- Circuitcourt: purchase from local producers, suppliers and creators (for groceries, snacks, souvenirs, etc.).

The campsite’s ecological actions
We are in the process of implementing a number of measures toobtain an eco-label and a quality label for the 2025 season.
Here are the 4 areas we focus on:
- reception: being available, informed and efficient to help make your stay worry-free, organized and enjoyable.
- cleanliness: maintenance and cleaning of communal areas, pitches and chalets several times a day.
- location: we are committed to preserving the land, treating it with respect and protection. The integration of our facilities into the landscape is of paramount importance to us.
- the environment: our management is eco-responsible, ethical and sustainable.

Thecampsite’s ecological approach
Our actions and choices are in line with our commitments.
No mobile home parks here! Did you know that rentals alone account for 70% of the environmental impact of an outdoor establishment? That’s why we’ve chosen to include only a few cottages.
We also chose not to install a swimming pool to reduce our ecological impact (at our altitude, swimming pools must always be heated).
What’s more, we manage the park ecologically: no weedkillers or other harmful products. The Sérendipité campsite is in the least polluted geographical area of France , and we want to keep it that way.
