Camping Sérendipité is located on the legendary Cantal Mountains circuit. Climb into your car, motorcycle or bike and discover the Cantalien landscapes and must-see sites (Murat, Saint-Flour, Viaduc de Garabit, Prat-de-Bouc, Puy Mary, Salers, Aurillac…).

Well-known to motorcyclists, this extraordinary route passes the campsite before continuing on to the Prat-de-bouc and Pas-de-Peyrol passes … A sumptuous journey awaits you through the wonders of the Cantal!

Climbing Puy Mary is a must: it offers breathtaking views of the peaks of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Park.

Also, from the Prat-de-Bouc pass (20 minutes from the campsite), you can startclimbing the Plomb du Cantal, the highest peak in the département.

Don’t miss the Cézallier region: Allanche, the Pinatelle region, the Lac du Pecher (home to migratory birds).

Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park

The Parc naturel régional des Volcans d’Auvergne, a Unesco World Heritage site, straddles the departments of Puy-de-Dôme and Cantal.

Camping Sérendipité is ideally located for discovering the whole region, as it’s only 15 minutes from the A75 motorway: in just 1h30 you’ll have access to the remarkable sites of Puy de Dôme, Puy de Sancy, Lac Chambon, Vallée de Chaudefour, Plateau du Guery and much more. You can also visit cultural sites such as the Château de Murol, Vulcania and the city of Clermont-Ferrand.

A 1-hour drive away, discover the Cézallier mountains, with their peat bogs, shepherds’ huts and enchanting villages such as La Godivelle.

And of course, don’t forget the unmissable Cantal mountains, just a stone’s throw from the campsite! Their breathtaking scenery, overlooking Europe’s largest stratovolcano, will delight you and make you want to come back.
